Public safety alert Patiala : Patiala 25 February 2026 (Kulvinder Ghumman) awaz india toda – A robbery was reported early this morning near the Old Bus Stand Lights, Patiala. According to the victim, the incident occurred around 5:00 AM while waiting for a pre-booked BlaBla ride to Gurgaon. Three unknown men on a Splendor motorcycle approached the victim, asking for their phone to make a call. Sensing danger, the victim refused and ran toward the opposite side of the traffic lights, where a white van was waiting, shouting for assistance.
The assailants chased the victim toward the Gurbax Colony side (opposite SBI ATM) and threatened them with a knife. Fearing for personal safety, the victim handed over the phone and cash. The suspects fled immediately after taking the belongings.
Description of suspects:
Approximate age: 20–27 years
Dark complexion
Messy/curly hair
Two boys, height approx. 5’4”–5’6”
One taller boy, height approx. 5’6”–5’9”
Riding a Splendor motorcycle
The incident has been reported to Lahori Gate Police Station. Citizens are urged to stay alert, especially during early morning hours and in isolated areas. Avoid waiting alone in such locations and remain cautious.
